Stress Awareness Month

April highlights the subject of stress awareness, try to remind yourself that although stress can feel debilitating, it is normal, and a little amount can actually be helpful. Acknowledge your stress, welcome it in, and talk about it.

This can mitigate some of the high intensity and in the moment feelings we have and help us to build tools to better approach future stressful situations. Remember to give yourself the space to relax.

Stress that can easily build up and affect our health, relationships, productivity and more. It’s important to recognise and understand the strategies we can effectively take to living a happier, healthier life!

  • Exercise Regularly: Just 30 minutes a day of light to moderate exercise can help in improving mood. We recommend a walk in nature with a focus on breath-work to remain present.
  • Practice Mindfulness: Being present in the moment and focusing on positive thoughts and feelings can help you stay focused and grounded. Try meditation techniques, deep breathing or yoga.
  • Connect with Family and Friends: Reach out to your support system and share a good laugh or two. Getting that social engagement and emotional support is key to getting a meaningful boost to your day.

Remember to take some time out of your day to take care of yourself. It’s vital to make yourself a priority.

One of the best ways to reduce stress is to accept the things you cannot control.
